How to sync RidePal activities to Strava

RidePal can upload a finished ride to your Strava account as a file-based activity (GPX) with your track, elevation, and heart rate when that data is present on the ride.

Compatible with Strava

iOS (RidePal for iPhone)

One-time: connect Strava

  1. Record a ride in RidePal, then go through the flow until you reach the post-ride / save screen (where you name the ride, choose activity type, etc.).
  2. Find the Share to Strava section and expand it.
  3. If you are not connected yet, use the Connect with Strava control. Confirm in the prompt to connect; RidePal may open the Strava app or a sign-in flow in the browser to authorize.
  4. After authorization succeeds, you should see that you are connected (your Strava name may appear).

You can disconnect Strava from the same expanded section if you want to revoke access for future uploads.

Each ride: choose whether to upload

  1. On the same post-ride screen, with Strava connected, turn on Share this ride to Strava before you save or finish the ride.
  2. Complete saving the ride. RidePal uploads in the background; progress may appear in that section. When it succeeds, you can open View on Strava from the app if offered.

Your choice to share can be remembered for later rides (the app stores a default preference for sharing to Strava when connected).

How the upload works

RidePal builds a GPX for the activity and sends it to Strava over the network. Strava then processes the file into an activity in your account. Quality depends on GPS, sensors, and what was recorded on the ride.

Android (RidePal for Android)

You can connect or disconnect Strava from RidePal Settings → Connected Apps. You can also connect from the Share to Strava section on the post-ride screen.

To upload a ride, enable Share this ride to Strava before saving it. RidePal creates a GPX activity and sends it to Strava after the RidePal ride is saved. When processing finishes, View on Strava opens the resulting activity when available.

Disconnecting from Settings removes RidePal's stored Strava connection and turns off future sharing until you connect again.
