Ollweite Line

Black Diamondroute

In Ötztal dialect, “Ollweite” means outside, in open terrain. The Ollweite Line is a challenge both in terms of fitness and skiing technique. The start of the varied Ollweite Line is located slightly below the Rotkogelhütte in a left-hand bend and with sensational views of the glacier and the world of the 3000 meter peaks.Initially slightly banked, the line leads around the reservoir. Over numerous cool berms, jumps, blocked stone fields (the legendary Rock Garden!) and wooden constructions, the line then spirals down curve after curve. After crossing the Rettenbach Trail (MTB 675), the route initially continues flat and wide, but then descends with challenging passages to Hühnersteign.ATTENTION: A path that branches off from the Ollweite Line just above the Hühnersteign is to be avoided by bikers at all costs, as it is used exclusively for hiking.h

Kühtrain-Schlucht-Trail

Blue Squareroute

The Kühtrainschlucht Trail is a technically very demanding, black-category trail. It is accessible from both sides and connects the villages of Sölden, Moos, and Zwieselstein. Tree roots and steps line the path. The Kühtrainschlucht gorge used to be the only connection between Sölden and Zwieselstein. Today, the trail is mainly used by cyclists for recreational purposes. But beware, the elevation profile is somewhat deceptive: right at the start, the trail has a technically very demanding passage. The steps require a lot of courage, especially in combination with the narrow railing corridor. In addition, there are two tough climbs that will make your calves burn briefly before the flowing descent follows.

Gahe Line

Green CircleDoubletrack

Fast and furious is what “Gahe” means in Ötztal dialect and yes, you can really let it rip on the Gahe Line. However, you should be in good shape for the fast flow route, as there are 7.3 km to cover from Sonnblick in Hochsölden to Grünwald - but there are also plenty of rest stops along the route. The start is above the tree line in Hochsölden, directly following the Harbe Line (MTB 6008). With wide berms and countless rollers, the route then leads into the forest. In addition to many tables that beginners can easily roll over, the Gahe Line is characterized by a lot of flow and a fantastic landscape that offers everything from open, hilly terrain to dense forest. At the end of the trail, you can continue via the Lettn Line (MTB 6009), which leads directly to the Giggijochbahn valley station.

Fernar Trail

route

To give something back to nature trail fans, we have added the black Fernar Trail to our bike area. Right from the start, it requires a great deal of technical skill and high concentration in the exposed rocky landscape around Lake Petzner. The trail is only suitable for very good bikers and can be ridden from the beginning of July to the end of September, depending on the weather. The Fernar Trail starts at just under 2800 m directly after the Rosi-Mittermaier Tunnel at the Tiefenbach Glacier parking lot. The line plunges down extremely steep, hairpin bends and is sometimes very rocky directly onto the gravel path that leads to the Gaislachalm. Experienced bikers can tackle the Löple Trail (MTB 678), the Nene Trail (MTB 696), the Broate Line (MTB 6027) and the Schteckler Trail (MTB 6026) directly afterwards and end up back in the village after a total of 11 km of trail action.

3.2 mi

Kaiser Trail

route

This enjoyable trail on fine forest soil is perfect for an after-work ride. However, you will need to pedal a little to get to the start of the trail. The Kaiser Trail can be reached via the moderately difficult Kaiserwald MTB route (MTB 603) and is located on the quiet side of Bike Republic Sölden. It is characterized by its smooth course, with short root passages and some steep terrain providing additional challenges. In wet conditions, the ground often remains damp and slippery for a long time. After about 500 meters, the trail joins the Ötztal Cycle Path (11), which leads either back into the valley to Sölden or out of the valley towards Längenfeld.

Stallwies Trail

route

The trail is an adaptation on the "quiet side" and extends the range of the Stubai nature reserve. The trail, which is declared as red, starts just before the end of the Lochle Alm Trail (MTB 6014) and runs in a straight line to the forest path to the Stallwiesalm.

0.4 mi

Löple's Trail

route

Although the Löple Trail is categorized as red, it is quite an easy-to-ride singletrail which can certailly be taken in both directions. Directly above Gaislachalm the trail branches off the forest road to the right. After crossing a forest, it leads along a meadow path over some damp soil. After a fence you cross the ski slope slightly uphill to get back to the trail entrance. The route is fairly flat, but features a short, steep slope. The relatively easy-going trail leads past the Löple Alm to a path into which deep gutters have dug - please be careful! Experienced riders can overcome these obstacles easily with a bunny hop...

0.7 mi

Lochle Alm Trail

route

The trail is about 1 km long and connects the Lochle Alm with the Kleble Alm. It can be used in both directions and can only be reached by your own strength and not by means of lifts. From the Kleble Alm towards the Windachtal valley the trail is quite flowy, but features short and crisp climbs and a steep downhill section towards the end. In the middle a hiking trail branches off towards Stallwiesalm: keep left there! It is also very pleasant that rain can hardly affect the forest floor - thus the trail is almost always great to ride.

0.6 mi

Jägers Notweg Trail

route

This deep black trail is definitely only suitable for experienced bikers, and even they might need to push their bikes at times. It belongs to one of the toughest natural trails in the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN. ... If you do manage to get down without stepping down from your bike you are a real champion! To get to the Jägers Notweg Trail, you first have to hit the pedals: enter the trail via the Brunnenbergalm route (MTB 652) branching off the forest trail to the left in a hairpin bend. The path initially leads through an old, overgrown forest track and almost all of it can be categorized as difficulty level S3, with several S4 passages: tight switchbacks, rocky passages, partly wet ground… . After crossing the Windach Ache stream, the bike has to be pushed/carried uphill for about 10 minutes, until another forest trail get reached. The Trail can be perfectly combined with the Windach Trail (MTB 6000).

1.0 mi

Singletrail Kleblealm

route

The trail is one of the highlights in Sölden! The route offers an exciting mix of flowing and technically challenging sections. You can only get to the top under your own steam, because this “quiet” side is perfect for bikers who prefer to pedal themselves. The trail starts below the Kleble Alm and can be reached via the Kleble Alm MTB route (MTB 651). In the upper section, there are a few wet, tricky sections to overcome, which are interspersed with flowing passages. The middle section – where the trail crosses the forest road at very short intervals – again offers short, technically demanding sections. However, these can be bypassed via the forest road. The trail ends on the forest road, which eventually merges into the asphalt road back to the village.
